Reading Response #3

Name: Trent Smith
Date: November 15, 2007
Book: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
Pages Read: 102-266
Pages: 81 pages

1) The thing that is confusing to me in the book, The Adventures of Huckleberyy Finn is that it is kind of hard figuring out the words because they are really different. They are like the words in The Crucible.

2) The thing I wished to say to Jim (Miss Watson's slave) is that I think it was pretty noble of you to run away from your master (Miss Watson). Jim heard that Miss Watson was going to sell Jim to a plantation down the river. If I was on the spot like you were, I would probably run away to.

3) What I felt when I was reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was sad. I was sad because Miss Watson wanted to sell Jim to a plantation down the river. If I heard that Miss Watson was going to sell me to a plantation, I would be shocked. I felt really bad for Jim. Because if he went, he probably would feel weird being in a different enviroment. It is also sad because he would be treated horribaly and would be away from his wife and his children. Luckly he ran away! =D

I like how you summerized it. I like the book you chose I would like to read it.

I like how you summarized it too, though I think that you should add an example of what the words were that you couldn't figure out.
